Why I built NextBook
I love reading books and often cannot wait for a new book release or a series to continue. However, keeping track of upcoming books turned out to be a challenge. I was maintaining lists by hand and checking platforms and websites for release dates, which was unsatisfying and time-consuming. Most importantly, I was missing a notification system, that would have helped me keeping up with releases. No existing platform or app solved this simply, so I built NextBook.
How it works
Add the books you’re excited about, set your preferred notification time, and let NextBook do the rest. You’ll get notified, even with a badge, on release day. Once you’ve bought or borrowed it, simply check it off in the watchlist and it moves to your archive. Nothing gets forgotten or lost. And you choose exactly what goes on your watchlist: no automated feeds or algorithm, just the books you actually want to track.
